November 13-15, District Camp, Marianna FL

We enjoyed a fantastic and fun weekend at this years Pow-Wow. Seven Rangers and four leaders participated from our outpost joining over 60 other Ranger youth and 35 Ranger Commanders from around the district! This years theme was "The Lord's Army" and we were treated to a special guest - Marine Gunnery Sergeant Tim Pernie, better know as just Gunny!

Gunny lead the Ranger youth and leaders alike through various training and discipline exercises that were challenging yet fun all day Saturday! The exercises were designed to teach the boys various lessons that were reinforced with biblical principles. The pictures say it all!

We ended Saturday with a communal fire organized by our FCF brethren. We also experienced the induction ceremony of two young men into the FCF. Gunny finished the night with his testimony and a devotion that touched the hearts of many Ranger youth, including one of our own.

We woke up to Gunny's Reveille (basically a garbage can used as an alarm clock) at 0630, enjoyed our last chow and lined-up for the graduation ceremony. Gunny personally shook the hand of every person there and presented a dog tag. The perfect end to a perfect weekend!
