Camp "A.N." Alaska

In June of 2009, Navarre A/G launched its first short term missions project to the Eskimo kids at Camp A.N. in the Alaskan wilderness. Camp Agaiutim Nune “The Place of God” was established in 1996 as a ministry outreach to the Yupik Eskimo people in the Yukon Delta region of Alaska. Camp A.N. is unique unlike other camps you will find. It is more evangelistic in nature than anything else.

The team of eight from Navarre spent a week helping coach the youth the annual Teen Camp at Camp AN.  The camp attracted 52 teenagers from the villages of Emmonak, Alakanuk, Kotlik and Saint Mary's.  It was a life changing event for most of the teens and for the coaches as well!  Many were gloriously saved and delivered at the camp.

The team shortly after arrival.  Yes, it was that chilly in late June!
